This role is within a unit where Surrey Police and Sussex Police work in collaboration, whilst remaining two separate legal entities/employers with different terms and conditions.
Both Surrey Police staff and Sussex Police staff are employed in this unit on their own force terms and conditions.
Successful candidates may be appointed on the terms and conditions of employment of either Surrey Police or Sussex Police, depending on organisational requirements. A discussion will be held with the successful candidate to confirm the details of location, salary, allowances and hours.

The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role & Key Responsibilities
This is an exciting time to join Change Delivery, which will give the incumbent exposure to an array of the changes taking place across Surrey Police and Sussex Police, regionally and nationally.
The role sits within Portfolio Management Office (PMO) which defines, maintains, and ensures project management standards across Surrey Police and Sussex Police which includes managing all change governance.
We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic, dedicated individual, with the desire to work as part of a highly skilled, continuously improving PMO Team.
The role is based in either HQ, Lewes or HQ, Surrey (Guildford), however you may be required to attend other sites on occasion.
Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be:
- Supporting change by ensuring that all activity promotes customer focus and value for money and that all activities are in line with corporate priorities and reflect best practice in the policing sector.
- Providing secretarial support to meetings as required to ensure that accurate minutes are captured electronically, and actions are recorded and distributed.
- Inputting and maintaining project information on relevant databases and applications ensuring that data is accurate and up to date and complete audits to ensure data integrity.
- Supporting organisational learning by capturing good practice, learning from other forces and ensuring records are kept and made available.
- Undertaking diary management for the PMO and Head of Change.
Skills & Experience
- Successful candidates will be expected to have excellent attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, in addition to inquisitive and tenacious approaches to data gathering.
- Demonstrable experience in managing competing requirements and prioritising tasks across a diverse range of subject areas. The ability to respond effectively to immediate queries is vital.
- An exceptional communicator: you will be expected to maintain good working relationships within the organisation, including key stakeholders and internal customers.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and methodically under pressure, handling several matters simultaneously whilst meeting time limits.
- The proven ability to organise meetings and associated papers, with a track record of taking minutes and recording actions and decisions.
- Experience of working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
