Job overview

The General Surgery department at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SaSH) is seeking a talented individual who is dedicated to working as part of our healthcare team, providing a first-class, caring service to patients. The post holder will work in an exceptionally busy division providing administration support within the department. This role will provide an essential communication link between clinicians, supporting staff and patients to ensure all patients are treated within the clinically indicated timeframe. The successful candidate will have experience of working with computerised data systems, be able to work calmly under pressure, have a polite, courteous manner, excellent communication, interpersonal and organisation skills. Additionally, with a proven track record of using their initiative and prioritising workloads in order to meet deadlines. Experience of pathway management would be advantageous but training would be provided for the successful candidate. Exceptional verbal, written and communications skills and strong interpersonal skills will be key, as this role will involve dealing with complex patient pathways and a variety of different personnel.

As such, all nursing, clinical, and operational roles may involve working on a 24/7 shift basis, unless otherwise specified during the recruitment process.
