Overview

Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist with additional Recruitment and Retention Premia (RRP) allowance of 15% (reviewed annually).

We are looking to recruit highly specialized cardiac physiologists ideally in the cardiac rhythm department, or in echocardiography with potential overlap into the angiography lab and non-invasive diagnostics.

We are particularly looking for a highly motivated physiologist to work within the pacing service; this senior role would involve close liaison with finance and procurement. We have two dedicated implanting cardiologists and run a busy service that includes regular MDTs, close industry technical support and sponsorship to attend specialist meetings.

The echocardiography service runs five echo rooms across two sites. We have three imaging consultants, and run specialist echo sessions four days a week that include stress echocardiography and TOE. There are opportunities for rotation into the angiography suite, and participation in the on-call Rota. Interested candidates are strongly advised to contact for informal discussion and visit.

Compensation and terms

Successful candidates will be appointed to the first pay step within the band when they start with the Trust (unless they have previous relevant NHS continuous service), thereafter individuals will progress up the pay steps in accordance with NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) terms and conditions. For part time roles you will receive a pro rata\’d (proportional) salary payment based on the appropriate pay step/point and hours worked in accordance with AfC and all medical and dental terms and conditions.
