Clinical Pharmacist - Cancer Services

Overview

Are you a pharmacist interested in working in cancer services? This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in oncology pharmacy to develop their skills and knowledge in this specialist area. Full training will be offered to candidates who have not had an opportunity to work in cancer services before.

Responsibilities

• As a SaSH Cancer Services pharmacist, you will look after patients on the inpatient haematology ward and provide Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments to patients receiving treatment on our day units.
• Because the products are prepared off-site, the focus of the role is on clinical aspects working with the multidisciplinary team, and does not involve aseptic preparation work.
• Deliver project work and undertake core directorate activities, such as reporting and analysis of medicines expenditure, clinical governance and training.

Working pattern

We welcome applications for part time or flexible hours, provided candidates can commit to working at least 3 days per week.

Successful candidates will be appointed to the first pay step within the band when they start with the Trust (unless they have previous relevant NHS continuous service); thereafter, progression will follow NHS Agenda for Change terms and conditions. For part-time roles, salary is pro rata based on hours worked.
