Hello, we7re SURI.

We2re on a mission to radically transform oral care with beautiful everyday essentials designed for life.

Championing high performance and future-focussed design, our award-winning sonic toothbrush transforms an uninspiring chore into an enjoyable daily ritual.

We seek to continually push the boundaries of what is possible and invite honest conversation on our collective journey.

Since launching our sonic toothbrush in 2022, we2ve delighted over 500k customers across the UK, Europe and US.

In doing so, SURI has risen to become the highest-rated electric toothbrush on Trustpilot, while achieving B-Corp certification and securing listings in major US and UK retailers.

As well as garnering widespread media attention, SURI has also picked up numerous prestigious industry awards including The Grocer Startup of the Year, Red Dot Design Award, and the Marie Claire Sustainability Award.

We2re profitable, capital-efficient and growing.

Now we2re scaling the team across the UK and into the US.

That means building the people infrastructure to match the quality of the brand: better hiring, better processes, better culture.

This role is central to that.

If this excites you and you are keen to shape SURI with us we2d be thrilled to hear from you!

The Role

This is SURI's first dedicated talent hire.

You will be the person who builds recruitment at SURI from scratch; the processes, the candidate experience, the way we assess, the standards we hold.

You'll be joining at a moment when the foundations are being laid, and you'll have a direct hand in shaping them.

You2ll work closely with the Co-Founders and report into the Co-Founder & CCO, with a dotted line to the HR Manager.

You2ll also work closely with the leadership team across the company.

The scope is genuinely broad: commercial, marketing, product, operations, and international.

If you're someone who has built a career running process for someone else and wants ownership, this is the step up.

We2re offering this as a 12-month fixed-term contract to start, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role based on business needs.

Role & Responsibilities

Build

  • Review and assess current processes and find areas for improvement
  • Where necessary, design and implement end-to-end recruitment processes: role briefs, structured interview guides, scorecards, offer frameworks
  • Get the most out of the ATS we have, and identify when we need to upgrade
  • Create a best in class candidate experience that reflects the quality of the SURI brand at every touchpoint
  • Establish sourcing strategies for international markets as global hiring ramps up

Deliver & advise

  • Owning end-to-end searches across commercial, marketing, product, finance and operations. There are typically 35–5 open roles simultaneously.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to sharpen briefs, challenge assumptions and hold the assessment bar.
  • Push back when a hire is moving too fast or the process is cutting corners.

Equally, there is a need to push to keep the process fast and efficient; unblocking bottlenecks as soon as they are seen, and keeping the process moving.

  • Report on hiring progress, pipeline health and quality metrics to the leadership team.
  • Occasional need to work with specialist recruiters on roles; managing comms, expectations & relationships both internally and externally

Experience

  • In-house or embedded recruitment experience: minimum 20 years. (Agency-only backgrounds are unlikely to be the right fit.)
  • End-to-end search ownership: you've run a full process from brief to offer, not just sourced or screened.
  • Experience working in a consumer, DTC, product or FMCG brand, or a demonstrable understanding of what it takes to hire into one.
  • Experience building hiring tools and processes from scratch, not just inheriting them.
  • Some exposure to international hiring.

• A passion for more sustainable living is a real plus!

  • How you work
  • You're structured. You believe process produces better outcomes and you can build one.
  • You're commercially aware. You understand the business context behind a hire, not just the role spec.
  • You're resilient. Early-stage companies are fast, imperfect and sometimes chaotic. That doesn't faze you.
  • Low ego. You're here to make SURI's hiring great, not to be seen doing it.
  • You're consultative.

You'll work with hiring managers to understand their brief and build an ideal candidate profile before you go to market, challenging and problem solving as required throughout the hiring process.

  • You2re collaborative, but not afraid to challenge, or push for answers where needed.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and an additional day for your birthday
  • Flexible working hours
  • Hybrid working - up to 2 days working from home each week
  • Bupa Healthcare and Dental Packages
  • Income Protection and Life Assurance
  • 1x Charity Day per year
  • Central London offices- based in Bank; a stone2s throw from Leadenhall Market
  • 4x “Work from Anywhere” weeks, with no requirement to be in the office those weeks
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme, which grants free therapy and coaching sessions to all staff
  • Monthly social events, organised by different team members
  • 5x free toothbrushes every year
  • £1000 personal development budget each year, per employee
  • Fantastic career opportunities; with the chance to grow as SURI does
  • Summer Fridays; 2pm finish across Fridays in July and August
  • Fresh fruit and snack orders every week
  • Cycle to Work scheme, and Electric Bike Cycle to Work scheme
  • Regular product swaps with other fantastic companies

At SURI, we value diversity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

We look for team members who will positively contribute to our dynamic, passionate culture and believe that an inclusive and diverse work environment is one in which we all thrive.

Please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments to be made for the recruitment process.
