What are we looking for? Our business is rapidly expanding, we are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our friendly and driven Kitchen Team. We are looking for a hard-working individual with a friendly, positive personality and a passion for food. You should be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills:
- Previous experience within a 4* level hotel or similar
- Previous experience within high volume conference & banqueting and/or fine dining experience
- Work in a multi-faceted outlet on a day to day basis, ensuring compliance with food hygiene regulations at all times
- A passion for using the best local produce and creating exciting, innovative dishes
- Demonstrate excellent and varied methods of cooking and presentation
- Demonstrate excellent mise en place and storage of food items, waste management, and CookSafe procedures
- Able to carry out audits of all food production storage and preparation areas
- General Catering Qualifications to SVQ Level 2 or equivalent

Who are we? Ten Hill Place is a stylish 129 bedroom hotel, part of Surgeons Quarter in Edinburgh. Surgeons Quarter is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has developed its property and facilities to create an integrated hotel, conferencing and events facility within the College campus. The facilities lend themselves to a variety of activities and events including conferences, professional meetings, weddings, exhibitions and social events. Surgeons Quarter manage a large food and beverage operation, which includes management of venue bars, private banqueting and a high street café. Surgeons Quarter, in conjunction with SpaceUK, operate one of the largest Edinburgh Festival Fringe venues and additionally SQ is an extensive provider of Scottish Evenings.
