Pay: £180-£240 per day, depending on experience and project
Break: 1-hour unpaid break
Overtime: Paid at 1.25x-1.5x, depending on the project
Surge Data Centre Services is looking for experienced Cabling Engineers to work across data centre and commercial projects throughout London.
Key responsibilities:
- Installing fibre-optic cabling within data centres and commercial premises
- Delivering complete fibre-backbone installations
- Routing, dressing and securing fibre cabling
- Fibre termination, splicing and testing
- Labelling installations and maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Reading drawings and following site specifications
- Working safely and efficiently as part of the site team
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience with fibre installations
- Experience in data centre or commercial environments
- A strong understanding of fibre-backbone infrastructure
- Good attention to detail and cable-management standards
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid ECS/CSCS card and relevant industry qualifications are preferred
