What you’ll be doing as our Plant Operator: Follow Standard Operating Procedures producing high quality parts. Completing processes from needling to melt Infiltration. Loading, operating and unloading a variety of furnaces. Champion continuous improvement and provide feedback to internal departments on the manufacturing process. Process jobs as scheduled on the internal database as well as entering operational data regarding quality and output. Action Quality Issues and support all Non-Conformance meetings. Support product and process optimisation in line with the quality needs of the business. Maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards. The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Plant Operator: Proven background in a large batch Manufacturing environment. Experience of working to high specifications. Competent working to Standard Operating Procedures. Identify and utilise best practice methods for working tight tolerances. Able to work to tight time lines and multi-task in a busy manufacturing environment. Experience in operating in a 5S environment. Able to work to high safety and quality standard, with a variety of equipment and materials. The ability to work as part of a team and on your own with minimum supervision. Excellent problem solving skills. Need to have: Experience working to SOP’s. Manufacturing and machine operation experience. A multidisciplinary approach to work. 5S experience. A delivery focused approach to quality of work. The ability to work at a pace whilst in pressure situations. Nice to have: Furnace Operating experience. Basic lean manufacturing principles.
