We’re Hiring – Industrial Painter / Blaster | Hyde
Surface Engineers Ltd is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced Industrial Painter / Blaster to join our team in Hyde.
This is a full-time, permanent position for someone with a strong background in industrial blasting and protective coating applications, who takes pride in producing a high-quality finish and working safely.
The Role
You’ll be involved in the preparation and coating of a range of industrial components, using grit blasting and airless spray equipment to apply protective coating systems to a high standard.
We’re looking for someone who can work confidently with minimum supervision, while also being a reliable team player.
Monday–Friday | 8:00am–4:30pm
£14–£19 per hour, depending on experience
Overtime Available
Further Training will be provided to the right candidates.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience as an Industrial Painter / Blaster / Sprayer
- Experience using airless spray pumps
- Grit blasting experience
- Good understanding of industrial health & safety requirements
- Experience working with hazardous substances and appropriate controls
- Ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision
- Good team-working skills and a reliable attitude
Desirable qualifications & experience: (not essential):
- ICATS
- Metal spraying
- IPAF 3A & 3B / MEWP
- FLT licence
- Full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of NACE and NORSOK coating specifications
