In this role, you won't just be a cog in the machine. You will join a dynamic DevOps-focused team where you will have a direct relationship with our customers and a say in how we deliver solutions.

We offer a fast-paced, collaborative culture where career progression is a priority. Plus, you will enjoy perks like Flexi-Time, Hybrid Working, Private Healthcare, and a steady supply of free snacks and coffee.

Key Requirements:

Here at SureView Systems, we develop software to improve an organisation's ability to manage and respond to physical security events by creating an intuitive, easy-to-use response platform. We have built a company that has an enviable list of customers – including marquee names in global technology and automotive from Silicon Valley, key critical infrastructure providers, Fortune 500 companies as well as some of the largest cities and counties in the US.

Due to ongoing company growth, we have an exciting opportunity for further Software Developers to join our dynamic software development team. Our product is not an out of the box solution. Through embracing a DevOps mentality and maintaining customer specific teams, you will be joining a team of developers who have close working relationships with the customer, development and sales teams in order to successfully deliver a solution.

The goal of our software is to improve operator response times by prioritising what's important, while automating many of the time consuming, manual and often inconsistent processes of running a command centre. This in turn results in better security outcomes.

As a Software Developer, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to progress your career, develop new skills and learn new technologies as part of a talented software development team, working in a challenging, fast paced and collaborative environment.

How to prepare for a job interview at SureView Systems

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If SureView Systems uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
