We are seeking a commercially driven and technically capable Technical Sales Estimator to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, sales and project delivery—responsible for interpreting client requirements, producing accurate quotations, and supporting the sales process from enquiry through to order.
Key Responsibilities- Review incoming enquiries, drawings, and specifications to understand client requirements
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and quotations for bespoke engineered solutions
- Develop technical proposals that align with project requirements and company capabilities
- Liaise with internal design, engineering and production teams to validate solutions and costs
- Act as a key point of contact for customers during the enquiry and tender stage
- Provide technical advice and guidance on product selection and solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and specifiers
- Ensure all proposals are commercially viable and align with company pricing strategy
- Maintain accurate records of quotations and customer interactions
- Experience in a technical estimating, engineering, or technical sales role
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong commercial awareness and pricing experience
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational ability
- Background in construction, access systems, fabrication, or structural engineering
