Our core offerings include legionella control, water hygiene monitoring, microbiological sampling, water treatment, ductwork cleaning, and grease extract compliance.
Role Overview
As a Water Hygiene Technician, you will play a key role in delivering essential water hygiene services to a variety of clients in and around either Camden or Wandsworth London. You will be responsible for performing routine monitoring and sampling tasks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly around legionella prevention. This includes tasks such as temperature checks, water sampling, TMV servicing, system disinfections, and tank inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Water Temperature Monitoring: Regularly check and record temperatures at outlets to ensure compliance with legionella control standards.
- Water Sampling: Collect water samples for microbiological testing, following correct procedures to maintain sample integrity.
- TMV Servicing: Clean, check, and service Thermostatic Mixing Valves to ensure safe and accurate temperature control.
- Showerhead Descaling: Clean and descale showerheads and hoses to prevent scale build-up and bacterial growth.
- System Disinfection: Carry out chemical disinfections of water systems, including tanks and pipework, as required.
- Tank Inspections: Visually inspect cold water storage tanks for cleanliness, condition, and compliance.
- Tank Cleaning and Upgrades: Clean and, where required, carry out basic upgrade works to improve tank safety and compliance.
- General Support: Assist with other water hygiene duties, basic plumbing tasks, and on-site reporting as needed.
Skills & Experience Required
- Prior experience in water hygiene tasks listed above is essential.
- Relevant water-related qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, self-motivated attitude.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
