Role overview: The purpose of this role is to provide maintenance and servicing of life safety equipment, emergency light and smoke vent systems, in accordance with all current British & European standards, in accordance with BS5839 standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide day to day planned and reactive maintenance of contracts
- Servicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems
- To respond to emergency callouts and carry out any remedial works as required
- Carry out asset verification
- Install replacement/additional equipment
- Conduct site surveys as required
- Supporting the development of apprentices
- To act at all times in a professional and diligent manner, considering the needs of the clients
- Call out rota (1 night in 10)
Required Skills and experience:
- Previous Fire Maintenance experience
- Good understanding of the British Standards BS 5839 and BS 5266.
- FIA units (1,3,5)
- Driving Licence
Working Environment: This is an operational site-based position and involves collaborating closely with the support service team while also engaging with our clients. Expect a dynamic and fast-paced work setting that combines on-site work with ongoing communication with office-based colleagues. The role requires proactive interaction and liaison with clients/customers, to ensure effective communication and first-class customer service.
