Role Overview
Carry out electrical installation testing in our customer’s properties and produce reports to meet the requirements of BS7671 while always maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic inspections of clients’ electrical installations in accordance with the current edition of BS7671.
- Produce Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) which meets the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies (e.g., NICEIC).
- Perform other electrical tests and inspections, and produce the appropriate documentation in accordance with the current edition of BS7671.
- Always adhere to Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Keep abreast of changes and amendments of standards, regulations, and best practices within the electrical industry.
- Complete follow‑on remedial works, where required.
Skills & Experience
- NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent (essential).
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and testing qualification, or equivalent (essential).
- 18th edition Wiring Regulations BS7671 qualification (essential).
- Valid UK driving Licence (essential).
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and continuous improvement.
