We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Operations Manager to join us in Bathgate with NICEIC qualifications and experience in domestic, social housing, and commercial projects. You’ll lead teams, manage operations and compliance, drive P&L and support business growth.
Role Overview
You will manage multiple projects and this will suit you if you thrive on responsibility, value safety and compliance, and are passionate about delivering top-quality electrical work. You’ll have the opportunity to lead, innovate, and make a real impact within our team as you help support the delivery of our contracts throughout Scotland.
What will you be doing?
- Leading your Team: Oversee and manage your team’s daily activities, respond to queries, and carry out site visits, ensuring client deadlines are met and any variations are communicated promptly.
- Compliance & Audits: Play a pivotal role in preparing for and supporting annual audits from governing bodies, acting as the Qualified Supervisor as defined by NICEIC, and ensuring all company accreditations are current.
- Health & Safety Excellence: Work closely with the Health & Safety department to ensure all internal and external audits are well‑prepared, and that procedures and standards are rigorously followed.
- Training & Development: Collaborate with Health and Safety to ensure the training matrix is up‑to‑date, and support the Training Administration team to ensure courses are booked in advance, maintaining all required qualifications.
- Electrical Expertise: Be fully conversant with all aspects of electrical installation, ensuring compliance with IEE Wiring Regulations and that all materials and workmanship meet the highest standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete all certification and documentation, supporting Health & Safety by investigating electrical incidents and providing thorough, detailed reports.
- Business Growth: Take an active role in generating new business opportunities, initially supported by the National Electrical Manager, contributing directly to the company’s growth and success.
Required skill and experience
- Extensive experience in domestic and social housing projects, with a solid understanding of the wider domestic and commercial electrical market.
- Proven experience in all aspects of field management, including health and safety, quality and compliance management, and P&L delivery.
- Ability to lead teams, ensuring all work streams are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Deep understanding of electrical operations and regulations, with the capability to drive high standards of workmanship across all projects.
