We are currently searching for a professional and effective HR Advisor to support the rapidly expanding business needs and that of our managers and employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Employee Relations: Supporting managers in the employee relations process by coaching and developing their capabilities in (not limited to) disciplinary, grievances, managing sickness, performance, and ill-health. Ensure company policy and best practice is adhered to in all employee relations procedures. Manage HR processes from end to end. Provide informal mediation in workplace disputes and conflict resolution.
- Employee Engagement and Wellbeing: Support initiatives from the employee engagement survey, ensuring feedback and results are shared and actioned. Act as a point of contact for employee wellbeing concerns and support services.
- Organisational Design: Support the business in restructures, redundancies and TUPE in line with employment legislation and best practice.
- Onboarding: Liaise with our resourcer to take ownership of, and lead the delivery of a comprehensive employee induction program across our key sites, ensuring a smooth and engaging onboarding experience.
- Reporting: Produce HR metrics to provide detailed insights into the business, including employee retention, recruitment, turnover and producing solutions and trends to the relevant business.
- Projects: Support the HR team in developing key projects to support the business needs.
- Training: Provide training to managers as needed on HR processes and best practice. Manage HR inbox and deal with queries as required that fall outside the remit of the HR Administrator.
- The ideal candidate should hold or be working towards L5 CIPD qualification.
- Previous practical experience operating within an HR Advisor capacity with a high volume of field based employees across multiple sites.
- Ability to build credible working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong ER skills and knowledge including disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, performance management, long term sickness and capability.
- Proactive approach to identifying issues and solutions.
- Attention to detail with clear and simple communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Results focused and ability to translate these into actions and solutions.
- Ability to prioritise workload and take on multiple HR activities.
- Experience mentoring, coaching and supporting managers, providing training on policies and processes, as well as front-end performance management.
- A good understanding of employment legislation and how to apply this pragmatically.
- Strong Excel and HR system skills and proficient in MS Office applications.
- Flexibility to travel to sites on a frequent basis (expenses paid away from base location).

This vacancy can be offered as a hybrid role, but, with the flexibility to manage our own diary, within the confines of the business activity, it is expected that up to three days per week will be required in one of our sites. Working hours are: Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.
