Role overview: You will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials.
- Select the type and size of pipe required.
- Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
- Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment.
- Assemble and install valves and fittings.
- Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls sinks, tubs and toilets.
- Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
- Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.
- Install medically adapted bathrooms such as wet floor and level access showers.
- Work on kitchen and bathroom replacement programs.
- Fit gutters and downpipes on residential properties.
Skills & experience:
- Water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
- Relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies and procedures installation and maintenance.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment, working under pressure.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Providing routine correspondences both written and verbally.
- Self-managing, prioritising workload, and meeting deadlines.
- Effective communication skills.
- Customer focused.
- UK driving license.
Qualifications:
- SVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Must be trained to current regulations, hold an inspections & testing certificate along with a CSCS card.
- Trade qualification such as City & Guilds.
What We Offer:
- Salary £16.00 per hour and price work with a realistic OTE of £1000 to £1200 per week.
- 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
