Surefreight Ltd, based in NEWRY, is one of Ireland's leading haulage companies operating for over 30 years. We specialise in transporting full and part loads both to and from the UK, operating with a modern fleet of 160+ HGV units and offering a wide range of services to our customers including full loads, groupage, warehousing, and customs clearance.
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Reception Clerk. The role is originally set as a fixed 12-month contract, although there may be opportunities to secure a full-time position within the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring PODs are returned by Drivers
- Checking PODs against worksheets to ensure all are returned on a weekly basis in a timely manner
- Ensuring PODs are signed
- Scanning PODs onto the internal traffic system
- Logging and posting PODs to customers in line with their requirements
- Liaising with customers regarding POD queries, both by telephone and e-mail
- Being in regular contact with drivers
- General office admin as and when required
The ideal candidate should have a good standard of education and experience of working in a busy office environment, with strong organisational skills and good attention to detail. Full training will be provided.
