HGV Class 1 Driver

Surefreight Ltd: Join Our Expanding Team as HGV Class 1 Driver

We currently require a Class 1 driver to operate with a low loader and forklift throughout the north west.

Location:Heysham

The role will involve some forklift driving on customers' sites.

Please note, this position requires sleeping out in the cab from Monday to Thursday, so applicants must be comfortable with overnight stays. If you're looking for a dynamic role with some travel, hands-on work, and don't mind being away from home during the week, this could be the perfect fit for you!

Are you the right person for the job?

• 1 year of HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Hold a current CPC, Digi card, and licence.
• Valid telehandler licence and CSR safety pass would be an advantage.
• Demonstrable reliability and a commitment to providing excellent service.
• A flexible attitude towards work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with smart devices and compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements.

What will your role look like?

• Performing daily vehicle and trailer checks, keeping vehicles clean, and reporting any defects.
• Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with the team of Engineers and customers.
• Complying with all relevant driving regulations, company policies, and health and safety requirements.
