SureCare Central London, a CQC‑registered care provider, is seeking a compassionate female Dementia‑Trained Support Worker to support a service user living in N5 (Islington). This role involves companionship and practical day‑to‑day support only. No personal care is required. Due to the preferences and needs of the service user, this position is open to female applicants only.
Role information
- Location: N5, Islington
- Hours: 1 hour per day, Monday to Sunday, 10:00am – 11:00am. Additional hours may be available for hospital appointments and shopping
- Start date: Immediate
Responsibilities
- Dementia‑aware companionship and emotional reassurance
- Supporting a calm, structured daily routine
- Light meal preparation
- Medication prompts
- Light household tasks
- Accompanying the service user to appointments or shopping when required
Please note: the service user has cats, so applicants must be comfortable working in a pet‑friendly home.
Qualifications
- Dementia training or relevant experience
- Female carer (due to service user preference)
- Kind, patient, and reliable approach
- Good communication skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS preferred
