As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages (dependent on your experience), ensuring students are engaged, challenged, and supported in their learning. You will play a key role in helping pupils develop confidence and competence in mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Marking and assessing students' work, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Contributing to departmental planning where required
- Following safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Previous experience teaching Maths in a school setting is essential
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths education
- Experience with lesson planning, marking, and assessment
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability
- A current enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
