We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Shunter to join our client’s logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of heavy goods vehicles within the depots in the local area. Responsibilities Safely manoeuvre HGVs within the yard, including parking and repositioning vehicles as required. (Must have experience shunting with a tug!) Conduct pre-shift checks on vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and compliant with safety regulations. Four on Four off, alternating between 05:00 – 17:00 & 17:00 – 05:00. Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and report any issues or incidents to management promptly. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while operating vehicles in the yard environment.Requirements Must have 1 year experience shunting artics. Must have valid, up to date driver cards. Strong understanding of vehicle safety protocols and maintenance requirements. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
