We are recruiting on behalf of our client - an established and growing logistics organisation known for its supportive and team-driven culture. As part of ongoing expansion, we are looking for permanent Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join their transport team based at their Kent hub. This role requires flexibility to work variable shifts, including some weekends on a rota basis.

Who We Are Looking For:
You must have previous experience as a C+E Driver with a strong understanding of Road Transport Legislation. A professional, composed, and detail-oriented attitude is essential. Candidates should have the ability to follow Health & Safety procedures communicated in English and demonstrate calm, problem-solving behaviour when plans change. Passion, motivation, and reliability are key traits for this role. An understanding of the mailing industry or downstream access market is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport goods to and from designated locations, following route plans
- Deliver outstanding customer service while representing the company professionally
- Ensure all collections and deliveries are completed within set timeframes
- Perform and document thorough vehicle pre-checks to ensure roadworthiness
- Comply with EU and DVSA regulations, and all internal Health & Safety policies
- Accurately complete all required paperwork and participate in end-of-shift debriefs
- Secure loads safely and effectively while maintaining regular contact with transport management
- Identify and report vehicle defects promptly
- Participate fully in team collaboration and communication
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Previous regulated driving experience in a C+E (Class 1) role
- Full understanding of Road Transport Legislation and Working Time Directive
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written English)
- Diligent, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Licences & Certifications Required:
- Full clean UK driving licence (up to 6 penalty points may be considered)
- Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Current UK-issued Digital Tachograph Card
