About the Role
We are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across schools in Hertfordshire. This role involves supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring pupils remain engaged with their learning in a safe and orderly environment. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, following pre-set lesson plans
- Maintain good order and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support pupils to stay on task and complete assigned work
- Respond appropriately to questions and provide general guidance where needed
- Report any issues or concerns to teaching staff or senior leaders
- Always uphold safeguarding and health & safety procedures
