The predicted salary is between 28400 - 32200 £ per year.

Location: Walsall

Shift Pattern: All 7 days a week available - Day and Night shifts available

Availability: Across all 7 days (flexible rota to be discussed)

Rate of Pay: £13.68 - £15.50

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate female carer to provide 3 to 1 support for young patients with physical and emotional challenges. This is a rewarding role that requires a calm, attentive, and empathetic individual who can offer both physical and emotional support in a stable environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to children and young people, helping them with daily routines, including meals, personal care, and recreational activities.
  • Promote the emotional, physical, and social development of each child in line with their individual care plans.
  • Build trusting relationships with the children through consistent, compassionate, and professional interactions.
  • Encourage and support education, hobbies, and personal goals by working closely with schools, therapists, and other professionals.
  • Act as a positive role model by demonstrating healthy, respectful behaviour.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and care delivery in line with safeguarding and data protection policies.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and supervision.
  • Assist in household tasks including cooking, cleaning, and laundry, while involving the children where appropriate to develop their life skills.
  • Support children in managing emotions and behaviours, using approved de-escalation techniques and restorative approaches.
  • Adhere to all relevant safeguarding procedures and report concerns immediately in line with policy.

Requirements:

  • Ofsted Compliant Female carer (occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010)
  • Experience supporting children with emotional, behavioural, or mental health needs.
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Reliable and punctual with strong communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Mandatory trainings.
