Job Description

HGV Class 1 Driver – Air Cargo

  • HGV Class 1 Driver
  • Heathrow Airport and Slough
  • £20.00 per hour including holiday pay
  • Generous benefits package including discounted shopping, gym and cinema vouchers
  • 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern
  • Mid-day start times (12:00 to 16:00)

Job Overview:

A family-run freight company is seeking HGV Class 1 Drivers with experience in temperature-controlled transport to join its busy team near Slough.The role will involve air-side work at nearby Heathrow airport, primarily transporting flowers, fruit, vegetables, salad and pharmaceutical cargo to retailers and wholesalers.

Requirements:

To be considered, applicants must have:

  • Valid Class 1 HGV Class 1 license, CPC and Tacho card.
  • Minimum 2 years HGV Class 1 road experience in the UK
  • 5-year checkable work history
  • Up-to-date DBS
  • Refrigerated and/or roller bed trailer experience
  • Heathrow 'Horseshoe' experience
  • Good knowledge of airport procedures and compliance

Desirable: (Not Essential)

  • Up-to-date Cargo Operative Driver Certificate
