About the Organisation

This role sits within an independent healthcare service that has grown rapidly and now delivers a range of neurodevelopmental assessments and related support interventions. The organisation has expanded its clinical and operational workforce substantially and is continuing to scale nationally in response to rising demand for specialist services. They are now seeking a senior operational leader to strengthen day‐to‐day service efficiency, develop robust systems and governance, and support the organisation through its next stage of development.

Role Overview

The Clinic Manager will take responsibility for overseeing the full operational framework of the service, ensuring that clinical teams are supported by effective processes, well‐coordinated administrative functions, and compliant systems. Working closely with senior leaders, you will help shape service delivery, enhance operational performance, and introduce scalable ways of working suitable for a fast‐growing healthcare environment.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Operational Management
    • Oversee daily operations across administrative and clinical support functions.
    • Ensure that operational processes underpin safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery.
    • Introduce and refine systems that can support continued expansion and higher patient volumes.
    • Translate organisational goals into operational plans that align capacity with demand.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and mentor administrative and operational personnel as the team grows.
    • Establish performance expectations and operational standards.
    • Recruit and develop team members to meet evolving service needs.
    • Build a positive, high‐performing culture focused on quality and patient experience.
  • Patient Journey & Service Coordination
    • Manage the full patient pathway, ensuring booking, scheduling, communication, and reporting processes operate seamlessly.
    • Improve service flow, reduce inefficiencies, and support timely access to care.
  • Compliance & Quality Governance
    • Ensure operational practices meet regulatory, safeguarding, and clinical governance requirements.
    • Work collaboratively with clinical leaders to support quality audits, documentation standards, and service improvement projects.
    • Maintain oversight of operational risk, compliance, and service quality.
  • Performance & Commercial Insight
    • Monitor key operational indicators such as utilisation, capacity, throughput, and service efficiency.
    • Recommend changes to improve productivity, cost‐effectiveness, and service quality.
    • Contribute to planning cycles, forecasting, and operational budgeting.
  • Strategic & Organisational Development
    • Support senior leadership with growth planning, workforce planning, and long‐term operational strategy.
    • Implement infrastructure, systems, and processes required for national scale.
    • Enable the organisation to expand services while maintaining high standards.

About You

  • Essential Background
    • Senior experience within healthcare operations or practice management.
    • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop operational teams.
    • Strong knowledge of service performance, operational processes, and workflow optimisation.
    • Experience working within a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Desirable Background
    • Understanding of independent/private healthcare settings.
    • Familiarity with UK regulatory standards such as CQC.
    • Experience collaborating on commissioned or partnership‐based services.
