About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations and Logistics Manager to lead and improve our warehouse and logistics functions. You will be instrumental in managing our team, overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities, and ensuring high operational and customer service standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Logistics Manager or similar role
  • Strong team leadership background
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Forklift (reach) licence (training available if not held)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Core Responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and lead warehouse and logistics staff to maintain high standards
  • Plan and coordinate daily/weekly workloads to ensure operational efficiency
  • Handle recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
  • Fill in operational roles where needed to maintain standards during absence

Logistics & Operations

  • Monitor and optimise inventory levels
  • Oversee quality checks on incoming deliveries
  • Manage warehouse layout and on-site storage facilities
  • Ensure seamless coordination with couriers and delivery schedules
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure reliable, cost-effective services
  • Enforce health & safety compliance and respond proactively to risks

Process Improvement & Strategy

  • Create documentation and KPIs tailored to evolving IT hardware trends
  • Lead initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and compliance
  • Collaborate on ISO documentation and company-wide process development
  • Support the transition to our new Middleton site
