If you're an experienced Production Supervisor, Cell Leader or Team Leader looking to join a well-established manufacturing business, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Cell Leader / Shift Supervisor, you'll take responsibility for overseeing a section of the production floor, managing both workflow and production staff during the afternoon shift. Working alongside another Cell Leader, you'll ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys developing people, improving processes and ensuring production runs smoothly. As the role develops, you'll also have the opportunity to assist with workforce planning and staffing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate production staff throughout the shift.
- Monitor production schedules to ensure output targets are achieved.
- Manage workloads and allocate resources effectively.
- Ensure quality, safety and production standards are maintained.
- Support the training and development of production operatives.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and provide ongoing team support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
- Complete production documentation and report any quality or production issues.
- Liaise with Machine Setters and Engineers when technical support is required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Cell Leader, Team Leader or similar manufacturing role.
- Experience managing teams within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
- The ability to motivate, coach and develop others.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality standards and health & safety practices would be advantageous.
What's on Offer
- £15.03 per hour (£31,262.40 per annum).
- Monday-Friday afternoon shift (1:45pm-10:15pm).
- Temp-to-perm opportunity with the possibility of a permanent contract from Day One.
- Stable, long-term opportunity with a growing manufacturer.
- Supportive working environment with opportunities for future progression.
