Customer Services Executive Oldham – Office based Salary £30k Hours 8.30am – 4.30pm Pension / DIS / Private Health We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Executive to work on a full time permanent basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the planning department and the external sales team to maintain and improve a comprehensive service to our existing and potential new customers. Principle Accountabilities * Providing a co-ordinated point of contact and liaison between customers, external sales, production, & planning. * To work closely with external sales representative(S) and nominated customers to provide a dedicated one to one service. * To co-ordinate new price enquiries from specific existing customers. * To input sales order data on computerised systems and process order acknowledgements etc. and advise clients/planning of any discrepancies or potential issues. * Coordinate the setting up of ‘First Customer Order’ meetings where applicable in conjunction with the external sales representative. * To liaise with all relevant departments in respect of customer complaints and action / feedback accordingly. * To provide assistance with sales management, undertaking research, statistical analysis and ad hoc report writing as requested. * Detailed knowledge of products and services. Other functions will include: > Progress chasing > OTIF Reporting > Basic estimating > Stock control (Including sales of excess stock lines) > Machine loading > Management of obsolete specifications & tooling * Deal with customer queries (pricing, lead times etc and amending deliveries). * Process purchase orders for buying in finished goods as and when required. * Advise customers of late delivery, order shortages or delayed orders and confirming with transport over the course of the day. * Liaise with estimating, planning and transport/despatch on a daily basis with regard to customer order queries. * Take customer cold calls and coordinate the process to accounts and through to quotation. * Provide cover / relief for Estimating & Design and all other areas where relevant training has been provided. * To undertake other roles and tasks as requested that are commensurate with the level and function of this post. Additional Requirements and Skills * Good communication skills and customer service skills. * Excellent attention to detail. * Enthusiasm, drive, ambition and a desire to succeed. * Achievement focussed with an ability to win over support for ideas. * Good understanding and knowledge of RPL products /packaging industry. * Flexible with the willingness to learn company systems, policies and procedures. * Excellent Microsoft skills, particularly excel.
