Hybrid working typically 2 days Warrington office, and 3 days working from home (initially office-based)
We are recruiting for an experienced Payroll Business Partner to join the local authority on a temporary basis, supporting payroll operations across the Council during an important period of change. With a new payroll system being implemented, we are looking for someone with strong working knowledge of SAP Payroll who can step in and make an immediate impact. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys problem-solving, building strong working relationships, and delivering a high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-end processing of payroll to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
- Responding to queries from internal and external customers
- Administering pension processes and submitting information to providers
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
- Issuing contracts of employment and maintaining employee records
- Resolving payroll queries efficiently and professionally
This is a busy and demanding role requiring excellent customer service skills and strong IT capability. You will need to be highly organised, able to prioritise effectively, and confident managing your own workload to meet strict deadlines.
