The Role
As an Account Executive focused on the SMB segment, you will support high-growth, technically complex businesses as they adopt and expand their use of cloud platforms. This role is centred on new business acquisition and account development, acting as a key driver of revenue growth through identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and positioning our consulting services as a strategic partner to our customers. You will work closely with a leading public cloud provider and internal technical teams to help customers maximise value from their cloud investment and accelerate their growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and secure new customer opportunities within the SMB market
- Build and develop relationships with both new and existing clients
- Consistently achieve and exceed revenue and activity targets
- Work closely with strategic cloud partners to drive joint opportunities and shared success
- Educate prospects and customers on cloud services, benefits, and best-practice adoption
- Design and propose tailored cloud strategies that support scalability, agility, and long-term growth
- Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and delivery teams to drive effective client engagement
- Stay informed on market trends, cloud developments, and competitor offerings
- Continuously develop product knowledge and sales capability through training and self-learning
- Share customer insights and feedback to support ongoing refinement of messaging and value propositions
Experience & Skills
- Foundational understanding of cloud computing and the wider technology ecosystem
- Experience in new logo acquisition and cross-selling within a services-led environment
- Background working with technology-focused businesses
