Areyou a hands-on, proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe andwelcoming environment? Surbiton High School is seeking a reliable andenthusiastic Caretaker to join our dedicated team.
Aspart of our professional Caretaking Team, you'll play a vital role in ensuringthe smooth running of our 12 school sites, supporting everything fromday-to-day maintenance to larger improvement projects during school holidays.This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vibrant school communitywhere no two days are the same.
WhatYou'll Be Doing:
- Supporting the safety and security of pupils, staff and visitors across all school sites.
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures, respondingto emergencies, and supporting fire safety practices.
- Carrying out minor repairs, general maintenance, andensuring the school grounds are clean and well-presented.
- Helping with deliveries, setting up for school events, andliaising with contractors.
- Contributing to planned maintenance and refurbishmentprojects during school holidays.
WhatWe're Looking For:
- Experience in acaretaking or maintenance role is desirable.
- Practical skills in general repairs and maintenance.
- A flexible, can-do attitude and a strong commitment tohealth and safety.
- Good communication skills and the ability to workindependently or as part of a team.
- Computer literacy and a willingness to learn (First Aid andmachinery training can be provided).
