About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technician to join our Structural Engineering team in London.

You will lead the production and coordination of high-quality structural drawings and BIM models, while supporting Revit standards and mentoring junior technicians.

Working with Engineers and Project Leaders, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio including commercial developments, mixed-use schemes and data centres, ensuring technical excellence and quality throughout project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production of structural engineering drawings and BIM models using Revit and Auto CAD.
• Support the development and implementation of Revit standards and protocols across UK projects.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and building services consultants to resolve design and documentation queries.
• Review and check technical drawings and deliverables to ensure compliance with company drafting standards.
• Delegate and coordinate work across technicians, junior technicians and trainees.
• Support and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and training.
• Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of drawing office standards and best practices.
• Contribute to project planning, resource management and delivery programmes.
• Maintain project drawing records and transmittals where required.
• Support a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture by ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Act as a senior technical resource within the team and support Project Leaders as required.

Qualifications

• HNC or HND qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in structural drafting and documentation.
• Minimum 3 years' experience using Revit, with strong BIM coordination skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and Auto CAD.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering drawings, detailing and construction documentation.
• Experience coordinating information with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior technicians.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
