About the Role
A veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its progressive small animal team in Worthing, West Sussex.
This is a full-time position offering a 4-day working week and a salary of up to £80,000 depending on experience.

Weekend requirements are limited to 1 in 4 weekends, mornings only, with time off in lieu, supporting an excellent balance between career development and life outside work.

About the Practice
The practice is a modern, well-established small animal clinic with a loyal client base and a strong reputation for high-quality clinical care.
Facilities and equipment include high-specification ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment, endoscopy scopes, advanced dentistry facilities, digital X-ray, a comprehensive surgical suite and an in-house laboratory.
The wider clinical team provides access to expertise and procedures including orthopaedic surgery, referral ophthalmology, internal medicine, advanced imaging and regenerative treatments, creating opportunities to manage more complex cases and develop advanced clinical skills.
Dedicated regional emergency provision supports continuity of care outside normal opening hours.
Located on the West Sussex coast, Worthing combines seaside living with excellent access to the South Downs, Brighton and London.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:

Delivering high-quality first-opinion consultations

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience.
You should be confident managing a varied first-opinion caseload and passionate about maintaining excellent standards of clinical and client care.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, alongside a collaborative approach to case management.
The position would particularly suit a Veterinary Surgeon interested in developing advanced medical, surgical, imaging or diagnostic skills while working alongside experienced clinicians and making use of excellent facilities.
