An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon in Warrington, Cheshire, within a newly refurbished small animal practice offering flexible working patterns, excellent clinical equipment and a strong focus on colleague wellbeing.

The role offers a salary of up to £65,000 FTE, depending on experience, with full-time and part-time options available between 20 and 40 hours per week. Working patterns are genuinely flexible, with hours and lunch arrangements open for discussion. Full-time colleagues will typically work 1.5 weekends per month, while part-time colleagues can work one Saturday and one Sunday per month, with flexibility to discuss alternative arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality first-opinion veterinary care across a varied small animal caseload.
  • Confidently manage routine medical and surgical cases.

  • Manage emergency and same-day cases where required.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and provide clear clinical advice.
  • Work collaboratively with experienced RVNs and the wider clinical team.
  • Make use of nurse-led appointments for appropriate follow-ups, vaccinations and Schedule 3 procedures.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and complete administrative responsibilities.
  • Develop individual clinical interests with support from the wider team.
  • Participate in ongoing CPD and certificate development where appropriate.
  • Contribute to mentoring, clinical discussions and the continued development of the practice.
  • Maintain high standards of patient welfare, clinical governance and client care.
