Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice – Stockton-on-Tees
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours over 4 days) – part-time considered
Weekends: 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:00am–12:00pm)
OOH: None required (covered by external provider)
Salary: £36,000 – £70,000, dependent on experience
About the Role
We are representing an independent, multi-site veterinary group in Stockton-on-Tees that is seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their expanding team. Experience is welcome, and candidates with an interest in exotics are particularly encouraged to apply. This position will primarily be based at the main hospital, with some work split across branches (50:50 split optional). The rota provides excellent work-life balance, with a regular day off during the week and no out-of-hours commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultations and surgical caseload in small animals (exotics exposure available if desired)
- Working across both hospital and branch sites to provide continuity of care
- Supporting and collaborating with a large clinical team
- Delivering excellent client communication and patient-first care
