About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon in Trafford Park, Greater Manchester, within a modern, well-equipped practice offering flexibility, clinical autonomy and a genuinely supportive team culture.
The role offers a salary of up to £65,000 FTE for a Veterinary Surgeon, or up to £75,000 FTE for a Clinical Lead, depending on experience.
The position offers 40 hours per week, with flexible shift patterns designed to support work-life balance and individual commitments. There is no out-of-hours requirement, alongside 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9am–6pm, with time back in lieu.

About the Practice
The practice is a modern, purpose-built small animal veterinary surgery in Trafford Park, with a strong focus on clinical excellence, teamwork and colleague wellbeing.

The nursing and VCA teams provide strong clinical support through nurse-led clinics, procedures and day-to-day patient care, while the client-facing team ensures a welcoming and professional experience for clients.
The practice is also currently working towards ISFM Cat Friendly status.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality first-opinion veterinary care across a varied small animal caseload.
- Confidently manage routine medical and surgical cases.
- Perform surgical procedures to a high clinical standard.
- Conduct thorough consultations, examinations and diagnostic work-ups.
- Develop individual clinical interests and pursue further areas of specialisation.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with clients and their pets.
- Work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs, VCAs and client care colleagues.
- Make effective use of in-house diagnostic and laboratory facilities.
- Support clinical discussions, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and high standards of patient welfare.
- Participate in CPD and certificate development where appropriate.
- For Clinical Lead applicants, provide clinical leadership and support the continued development of the veterinary team and practice.
