About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a confident and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a progressive first-opinion small animal practice in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

This role offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours, with 1 in 4 weekends, making it an excellent opportunity for an RVN seeking a supportive environment alongside a healthy work-life balance.

The practice is a bright, spacious and purpose-built veterinary facility designed to high clinical standards, with modern equipment and facilities to support excellent patient care.

Located close to major transport links in Southend-on-Sea, the practice is easily accessible by public transport.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing excellent nursing care to veterinary patients
• Supporting Veterinary Surgeons with consultations, diagnostics and procedures
• Monitoring patients throughout anaesthesia and recovery
• Delivering high standards of inpatient and outpatient care
• Supporting surgical and clinical procedures
• Communicating effectively with clients regarding patient care
• Maintaining accurate clinical records
• Working collaboratively with the wider clinical and client care teams
• Contributing to a positive, efficient and progressive practice environment
• Embracing all aspects of the RVN role and supporting high clinical standards

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse with some experience in small animal practice.

They will:

• Hold current RVN registration
• Have previous experience within a veterinary practice
• Be enthusiastic about animal healthcare and patient welfare
• Demonstrate excellent client communication skills
• Be proactive, hardworking and willing to get involved across the practice
• Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team
• Be keen to develop their clinical skills and knowledge
• Have a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding patient care
• Ideally have an interest in becoming a Clinical Coach, or already hold Clinical Coach experience

• Salary up to £35,000 FTE, dependent on experience
