About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join an established and growing small animal practice in Manchester as it moves into a larger, new location.
This is an exciting period of expansion, with the new premises providing scope to introduce additional services and further develop the care offered to patients and clients.
The role is full-time, with flexible working across 4 or 5 days per week and a 1 in 4 weekend rota. There is no out-of-hours requirement, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
The practice is keen to support RVNs with their individual clinical interests, including certificate development, and welcomes forward-thinking colleagues who want to play an active role in the practice's continued growth.
About the Practice
The practice is a well-established small animal veterinary practice with a diverse caseload and steady flow of new clients.
The team is moving to a larger local facility, creating exciting opportunities to expand both the services available and the clinical capabilities of the practice. The new location will remain conveniently positioned for clients and colleagues, with excellent transport links into Manchester city centre and Manchester International Airport.
The successful RVN will join an experienced and supportive clinical team comprising:

Responsibilities
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, responsibilities will include:

Providing high-quality nursing care to small animal patients
-
Conducting nurse consultations
-
Monitoring patients under anaesthesia
-
Performing radiography and X-rays
-
Providing medical nursing care
-
Supporting Veterinary Surgeons with clinical and surgical procedures
-
Rotating through different nursing responsibilities and clinical areas
-
Managing a varied caseload
-
Maintaining high standards of patient welfare
-
Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues
-
Contributing to the continued development of the practice

Supporting new services as the practice moves into its larger premises
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:

Hold current RVN registration
-
Have a varied nursing skill set and an enthusiasm for general practice
-
Be confident with consultations, anaesthetic monitoring, X-rays and medical nursing
-
Enjoy working across different clinical responsibilities
-
Be proactive, adaptable and keen to learn
-
Have a genuine passion for high-quality patient care
-
Enjoy working as part of an experienced and supportive team

Be interested in developing a particular clinical interest

Be enthusiastic about professional development and further training
Newly qualified RVNs are also encouraged to apply, with support available to help them develop their skills and confidence.
Compensation & Benefits
The successful Registered Veterinary Nurse will receive:

Competitive salary, pro rata and dependent on experience (from Β£27,000 - Β£30,000)
