About the Role
A veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its progressive small animal team in Bristol.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, with a salary from Β£30,000 depending on experience.
The rota includes just 1 in 8 weekends and a shared Bank Holiday rota, with no out-of-hours requirements, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

About the Practice
The practice is a progressive small animal clinic focused on delivering high standards of clinical care while providing a supportive and collaborative working environment.
The nursing team is encouraged to utilise a broad range of clinical skills, take an active role in patient care and continue developing individual areas of interest.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality nursing care to small animal patients
- Supporting Veterinary Surgeons with clinical procedures
- Providing excellent inpatient and patient care
- Supporting surgical and medical cases
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients
- Guiding clients through different stages of their pet's care
- Maintaining high clinical and patient welfare standards
- Supporting and mentoring nursing colleagues
- Leading by example within the nursing team
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records
- Working collaboratively with veterinary, nursing and support colleagues
- Contributing to an efficient and welcoming clinical environment
- Supporting the development of students and colleagues where appropriate
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be an experienced RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with strong all-round clinical nursing skills.
You should be proactive, organised and confident working within a busy small animal environment while maintaining excellent standards of patient and client care.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, alongside an enthusiasm for supporting and mentoring colleagues.
Applicants who are already a Clinical Coach, or who would like to work towards becoming one, are particularly encouraged to apply.
The role would suit an RVN who wants to continue developing their clinical interests while taking greater responsibility within a supportive nursing team.
