An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive first-opinion practice in Staines, Surrey. This is a flexible part-time position of 20–30 hours per week, offering the opportunity to enjoy clinical autonomy, a varied caseload and a strong focus on work-life balance and wellbeing.
The role is suited to a confident Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable with routine consultations, surgery and sole-charge working when required.
- Friday: 9:00am–7:00pm
- Saturday: 9:00am–5:00pm
- One additional weekday – flexible
Salary up to £72,000 FTE, pro rata £2,500 welcome bonus.
The practice has an experienced, collaborative team with more than 30 years of combined veterinary experience. The team includes Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses and Client Care Assistants who work closely together to provide high standards of patient and client care. There is a strong emphasis on creating a supportive working environment where colleagues can share knowledge, develop professionally and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Responsibilities as a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon will include:
- Delivering high-quality first-opinion veterinary care to small animal patients
- Conducting routine consultations and preventative healthcare appointments
- Performing routine surgical procedures to a high clinical standard
- Diagnosing and managing a varied range of cases
- Providing clear, compassionate advice to clients
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Working independently and confidently when required
- Collaborating with Veterinary Nurses and the wider practice team
- Supporting excellent patient welfare and clinical standards
