An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical bias to join a progressive small animal practice in Norwich, Norfolk.
Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE/FTE
Hours: 39 hours per week, over 4 days
Working pattern: 9:00am–7:00pm
Weekend rota: 1 in 5 weekends

About the Practice
The practice is a well-established, purpose-built small animal GP service in Norwich, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team and strong regional leadership. The clinical team includes six Veterinary Surgeons, including a new graduate, alongside eight Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants and an experienced administrative team. The veterinary team has established interests across orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery and diagnostic imaging, creating an environment where clinical discussion, collaboration and knowledge sharing are part of everyday practice. The practice is well equipped for both routine and more advanced surgical cases, with well-stocked orthopaedic equipment and dedicated theatre facilities.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality first-opinion veterinary care across a varied small animal caseload.
- Undertake routine and more advanced surgical procedures.
- Develop and utilise a surgical clinical bias, with particular scope for orthopaedic work.
- Diagnose and manage medical and surgical conditions.
- Work collaboratively with experienced Veterinary Surgeons and the wider clinical team.
- Participate in clinical discussions, meetings and case reviews.
- Maintain consistently high standards of patient welfare and clinical care.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years' experience in small animal practice. They should have a clear surgical interest, with previous orthopaedic experience particularly welcomed. Candidates who are keen to develop their orthopaedic skills and work towards a certificate will also be encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should be confident working independently while also enjoying collaboration and clinical discussion within a multi-vet team.
