About the Practice

This modern small animal practice provides dedicated first opinion and out-of-hours veterinary care within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

The practice is equipped with excellent facilities, including:

  • Four consultation rooms

  • Two dedicated surgical suites

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality out-of-hours veterinary care for small animal patients.

  • Manage emergency and urgent cases with confidence and clinical autonomy.

  • Perform medical assessments, diagnostics, and surgical procedures when required.

  • Develop effective treatment plans using evidence-based medicine.

  • Provide compassionate communication and reassurance to clients during challenging situations.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.

  • Work collaboratively with veterinary nurses and the wider OOH team.

  • Support excellent standards of patient care throughout the night service.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a confident Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical skills and the ability to manage cases independently.

You will have:

  • RCVS registration and eligibility to work as a Veterinary Surgeon in the UK.

  • Experience working within a small animal veterinary environment.

  • Confidence managing medical and surgical cases.

  • Strong diagnostic and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent communication and client-care skills.
