Registered Veterinary Nurse – Newcastle-upon-Tyne
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000
Hours: Full time – 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, ideally over 4 long days with a fixed day off)
Weekends: Saturday mornings at branch 1 in 4; Saturday 8am–8pm at Gosforth Hospital approx. 1 in 16; Sunday 8am–8pm at Gosforth Hospital approx. 1 in 16
Out of Hours (OOH): Monday night 7:30pm–8:00am approx. 3 per year; Weekend OOH 7:30pm–8:00am Friday–Sunday approx. 3 per year
The Practice
This large, privately owned veterinary practice with 8 branches in Newcastle-upon-Tyne takes pride in delivering high-quality care and excellent customer service, including their own out-of-hours service.
Team includes:
- RVNs, SVNs, and Auxiliary Nurses supporting a team of Veterinary Surgeons
- Reception and administrative staff
- Nurses are generally assigned a regular branch but may cover other branches as needed
The Role
The Registered Veterinary Nurse will assist in:
- Routine consultations and surgical preparation
- Inpatient care and diagnostics
- Anaesthesia and patient monitoring
- Supporting the wider clinical team across multiple sites
