About the Opportunity
A growing, modern accountancy practice in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire is seeking a confident Semi Senior Accountant to join its team.
This is an office-based role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple deadlines, and is confident working with a varied client portfolio.
You will gain early responsibility, direct client contact, and the opportunity to take ownership of your own work from the outset.
Role Overview
This position offers a varied workload across Limited company accounts, Bookkeeping, VAT returns, and Tax returns.
The key responsibilities will include:

Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies

Complete VAT returns accurately and on time

Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients

Assist with personal and corporation tax work
-
Communicate directly with clients and resolve queries
-
Manage deadlines across multiple assignments
-
Identify issues and elevate where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
-
Minimum 3 years’ UK accountancy practice experience
-
Able to prepare limited company accounts independently

Experience with corporation tax
-
AAT Level 4 qualified (or studying ACCA/ACA)
-
Strong Excel skills
-
Experience with Xero and QuickBooks
-
Able to work 4 days per week in the office
