A rare opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon (Small Animal) to join a well-established practice supporting the local community for over 40 years. The role offers a varied caseload including cats, dogs, rabbits, and occasional exotic patients, with a strong focus on consultations, medical case work, and building lasting client relationships.
Surgical work is primarily routine, with a high number of dental procedures. The position includes a significant element of sole charge, allowing clinical autonomy, while support is always available from a nearby colleague when required.
The practice is based in a charming 16th-century thatched cottage just outside Lyndhurst, with occasional work at a nearby branch in Totton. Both sites are equipped with modern facilities, including digital radiography, dental X-ray, ultrasound, and in-house blood analysis, enabling high-quality care across a range of cases.
The team is supportive and friendly, with six veterinarians, seven RVNs, and a dedicated client care team. Certificate holders in ultrasound and dentistry are already part of the team, and further professional development is actively encouraged.
