The Role – Senior Accountant / Client Manager
This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will manage your own portfolio while supporting and developing junior team members.
You will work closely with Partners, taking ownership of client relationships and ensuring high-quality delivery across accounts and tax services.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of limited company clients across a variety of industries
- Reviewing accounts preparation and tax work completed by junior staff
- Finalising accounts files for Partner review and sign-off
- Preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing advice and support
- Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior team members
- Ensuring deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard
- Liaising closely with Partners on technical and client matters
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong background within a UK accountancy practice
- Experience managing or supporting a client portfolio
- Confident reviewing work and supporting junior staff
- Solid knowledge of accounts preparation and corporation tax
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines
