Audit Senior / Semi-Senior – Lancaster | £30,000 – £38,000

A growing accountancy practice in Lancaster is looking for an experienced Audit Senior or Semi-Senior to join their team. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of clients, professional development, and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing statutory audits for clients across different industries and sizes

• Prepare and review financial statements for companies, partnerships, and sole traders

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end processes

• Review work of junior team members and provide guidance where needed

• Attend client meetings, including audit openings and closings

• Support senior staff in delivering high-quality audit reports

Candidate Requirements

• ACA / ACCA part-qualified or equivalent experience in audit

• Previous experience in statutory audits and preparation of financial statements

• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is advantageous

• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel

• Attention to detail, organisation skills, and ability to manage multiple client deadlines

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8:45 am – 5:00 pm (36.25 hours per week)
