Our client, an independent, fast-growing firm of Accountants based in Exeter. They are driven by experience and personalised care, they work closely with a large range of businesses, mainly owner-managed, from startups and entrepreneurs to high net-worth clients. They also focus their support on helping the region’s best small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) create business systems and strategies that benefit their bottom line. We are looking for people who are self-motivated, keen to learn, have an attention to detail and like working with a close-knit team. As a family-style run business, their values are open and honest, always looking to support each other. Everyone has to start somewhere, so they do not expect you to have stacks of experience at the beginning. However, if you are already a chartered accountant and set to go up a level in your career, they would be delighted to hear from you. The Role: They’re looking to recruit two new members of the team. They’re ideally looking for people with a minimum of 2 years experience of working in a busy practice environment with colleagues. They have an excellent opportunity for an experienced unqualified or qualified accountant. They will train you if you want to progress. You will have at least 2 to 5 years + of experience. There will be a mix of working from home and in the office. They will consider full-time or part-time applicants and are flexible on hours. Your duties would involve working for a Partner or Senior Manager and helping with: * Preparing statutory accounts on IRIS software and using Excel. * Preparing VAT and tax returns. * Direct contact with those clients on routine queries such as help with Sage and Xero. * Managing your workload and meeting deadlines
